NOIR, CHÉRI

A testament to my obsession with music of times passed; namely post-punk and its various offshoots. A repository for my radio shows of yore. A conglomerate of my brain juices and pulsating veins in the form of sound waves.

RANK/XEROX- Rank/Xerox 7”

I just bought this San Francisco band’s LP yesterday and it’s soso solid. But it’s not up on YouTube yet. I’ll post a track from it later when I’ve listened a few times through. But for now! Here’s their entire self-titled 7” for 2009, which I bought at a show of theirs last time I was in SF over the summer.

Definitely a contender for my favorite Bay Area band (alongside Grass Widow).

IN CAMERA-“Fragments of Fear”

One of the best songs in my life at the moment. Former 4AD. Post-punk with experimental noise and subtle moments of dark in there. Absolutely brilliant and chilling video.
